Parenting
Parenting is one of the most demanding jobs there is, and it doesn’t come with a manual. Whether you’re in the exhausting early years, navigating a strong-willed toddler, supporting a teenager through a rocky patch, or figuring out your relationship with your adult child, it’s normal to feel like you’re making it up as you go.
The first years of life are especially formative, and a secure attachment between a child and caregiver lays important groundwork for what follows. But parenting doesn’t end in early childhood. I support parents at every stage, including those navigating the challenges of raising a child or teen, and even parents of adult children, because the work of being a parent evolves rather than ends.
How I can help:
- Supporting you through the demands of early parenthood and attachment
- Helping you manage the stress of raising a child or teen while caring for yourself
- Navigating conflict, communication, or connection challenges with your child at any age
- Making sense of your own reactions and patterns as a parent
- Finding a sustainable way to parent without losing yourself in the process
I bring both my clinical training and my prior experience as a grade school teacher to this work, which gives me a close-up view of what kids and families actually go through. I see parents in person in Berkeley and Oakland, and via telehealth throughout California.
